DISCOVER WFO

WFO, the World Farmers Organisation, is a community of geographically balanced entrepreneurial farmers, that regardless their size (small, medium and large- scale farmers), gender, age and composition (family farmers), aims to see their rights as food producers and role as economic actors, globally recognized.

WFO’s mandate is to bring together the national producers and agricultural cooperatives with the objective of developing policies in favor and support of the farmers' causes in developed and developing countries. Its mission is to represent and advocate on behalf of farmers in global policy fora and create the conditions for the adoption of policies aimed to improve the economic environment and livelihood of producers, their families, and rural communities.

The World Farmers’ Organisation, WFO is composed of a responsible group of agropreneurs who works with others stakeholders from around the globe in order to foster food system stability; respect the environment; acknowledge the rights of all farmers to be entrepreneurs and gaining appropriate incomes; respect the farming community’s diversity.

WFO is engaged in a wide range of activities under three main pillars: food security, climate change and value chain, with a focus on the cross-cutting thematic areas directly or indirectly related to agriculture, i.e. trade, research and innovation, livestock, access to finance, contract farming, education, access to information and knowledge, women and youth issues.

WFO acknowledges partnership as a fundamental tool to reinforce farmers’ role in the policy dialogue at all levels. For this reason, it works tirelessly to establish and develop partnerships and liaisons with the private and public sector, International Organizations, relevant fora of discussion, stakeholder groups, steering committees, global platforms, as well as, Foundations, universities and research Institutes.
