Feeding the world is the biggest challenge of the 21st century. Most of the hungry people in the world live in rural areas, they are mainly small holder farmers who depend on agriculture for their livelihood. Nearly 75 % of poor people in developing countries live in rural areas. That is why agricultural growth can be so crucial in fighting poverty and improving the living conditions of rural people. Supporting farmers, especially, smallholder farmers, by proposing policies, strategies for investments, and creating enabling policy and legal conditions is more important than ever.
